Coverage built for the garage business.

Auto dealerships, repair shops, tire operations, mobile mechanics, and fleet service companies all face risks that standard business policies miss entirely. We place coverage with carriers who actually understand garage risks — and price them right.

Core Coverages

Garage risks need garage coverage.

Standard commercial policies have exclusions that gut coverage the moment a customer's vehicle is involved. These are the policies that actually matter for your operation.

🔑

Garagekeepers Legal Liability

When a customer's vehicle is in your care, custody, or control — parked on your lot, in your service bay, or waiting for pickup — you're on the hook if it's damaged, stolen, or vandalized. Garagekeepers covers exactly that.

Dealers Open Lot

Your inventory on the lot is exposed to hail, theft, flooding, and collision every day. Dealers open lot (also called auto dealers physical damage) protects the vehicles you own — new or used — against physical loss.

Dealerships
🚛

Commercial Auto

Loaner vehicles, courtesy shuttles, tow trucks, and fleet vehicles all need proper commercial auto coverage. Personal auto policies won't respond for business use — and gaps here can be catastrophic.

👷

Workers' Compensation

Mechanics, technicians, lot attendants, and service writers face daily injury risk. We write workers' comp with the correct class codes for auto service, so your premiums reflect your actual risk rather than a one-size-fits-all rate.

Mobile mechanics face unique exposure: you're working on customer vehicles off-site, often in unpredictable environments. We place coverage that follows you — tools, liability, and garagekeepers that travels with your operation.

🚐

Mobile Tire & Roadside Assistance

🏭

Fleet Repair Companies

Companies that service or maintain commercial fleets — delivery vans, utility trucks, semi-trucks — have large garagekeepers exposure and specialized liability needs. We size the coverage to match the value of the vehicles you're working on.

🔑
Important for Dealers

Driving inventory personally? That has to be on the policy.

A lot of dealership owners pull a vehicle from inventory to use as a daily driver or for family use. It's completely normal — but it must be specifically listed as a furnished vehicle on your garage policy. Otherwise, a claim can be denied. We make sure this is properly documented from day one so there are no surprises when you need the coverage.

Why Garage Risks Are Different

Most policies have exclusions that matter right when you need them.

The gap between a general commercial policy and a true garage policy can cost you everything. Here's where it shows up.

1

Customer Vehicle Exclusions

Standard GL policies almost always exclude damage to vehicles in your care. Without garagekeepers, a fire in your shop that damages 10 customer cars comes out of your pocket.

2

Inventory vs. Property

Dealers open lot is separate from commercial property. Vehicles on your lot — even if they're inside a showroom — need their own form. Confusing the two leaves you with uncovered inventory losses.

3

Mobile Operation Gaps

A standard BOP or general liability policy won't follow you off-premises when you're working at a customer's home or jobsite. Mobile operations need coverage that travels with them.

If it involves a vehicle, we can insure it.

From franchise dealership groups to one-person mobile mechanics, we work with the full spectrum of auto and garage businesses in the Kansas City metro.

Cyber Liability Insurance

Auto dealerships and service shops collect some of the most sensitive customer information out there — driver's license scans, credit applications, financial data, and payment details. Federal FTC Safeguards Rule requirements add regulatory exposure on top of breach risk. A single ransomware or phishing incident can trigger notification costs, legal fees, and regulatory fines. We strongly recommend adding cyber liability to protect the data you're entrusted with.
